Little People: The Global Model Village

Tiny figures bustle through the dusty townships of South Africa and alleyways of Shanghai, while miniature Greek riot police, smaller than your thumb, take time to pose for holiday snaps in front of the Acropolis. From the red flagstones of Marrakech to the lowest of low-rise views of Manhattan, all life is here. Little People: The Global Model Village collects together the international photographs of Slinkachu, the artist whose Little People Project has been abandoning tiny people on the mean streets of the world since 2006. Together, these little dramas of hope and tragedy, loneliness and humour somehow get to the heart of what it means to be human; to be alone among millions of other people, all experiencing the particular melancholy and magic of life in the big city.
